I just completed a scarf knitting continental style... I liiikkkeee.....purling can come later,lol...I think my next knit project will be this in black,lol..of course...I still have on the burner the back cable shell....does anyone know of software that can help me design a pattern....cause doing it "manually" is a lot of math...not that a sista is scared of math,lol....I just prefer to expedite the process..that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!......he,he,he

The problem with being an creative soul is that ones mind is constantly spewing out ideas....I was sitting on the sofa...and a thought popped into my head...what would happen if I cut up pieces of tulle(ballerina tutu material) and knit it.......this is what happened...very scuptural...very interesting..lol....I will let this idea percolate a while longer...as for as what am I doing with tulle in my loft....a while back I was feening for my very own ballerina skirt...so I made it...lol...and I yes..I wear it like you would wear a regular skirt everyday...what can I say...I'm just "that" kind of girl..lol

I have been thinking about setting up a page to sell some of my wacky creations...or maybe even trade with other like-minded creative souls...what do yall think?

I do believe I feel the Designer in me rearing her fabulous head...I can see this shirt here... knitted with a big cable down the back...I would split the cable when it gets to the lower back(like an upside down Y) and have it open up to expose the back....how wicked would that be!..I should warn yall now ..I have a bachelor's in Design...so these little blips are bound to bubble up out of me from time to time...could knitwear design be in my future?...Feeling rather ambitious I declare that I shall knit this up as my first cable project!!!..now where did I put that Vogue Knitting book?....(lil"t" you are going to have to leave Roscalie at home...WE have cables create!)

Everyone has things that they are passionate about...politics...civil liberties..having babies...I firmly believe that accessories are important...I am the proud new owner of a yarn winder and swift!!!lol....before I would past up on yarn in hanks, because I abhor winding yarn into balls...now I'm a ball winding fool!!!..can't wait for my next order of Koigu to arrive..I'm going to promptly wind it into balls and put it in a fabulous bowl on my coffee table...actually(sidebar) Rob @Threadbarefiberarts I just had an idea if I double my order I can knit with two balls at once using a bigger needles,hmmmmm.....I think I will do a test swatch and see...lol..anyhoo...to stop from impaling myself with my size 3 knitting needle(koigu wrap)..I took a break and whipped up another fingerless glove Nekaybaaw you want?

I have just decided that I must have a poncho for early spring out a moderately chunky yarn..haven't decided on the color(probably will be black,lol)..came across this pic and decided to rock this look..pooch and all

I do believe I may have entered knitting hell....size 3 ...60 inch circulars...420 cast-on stitches...Koigu wrap,lol...I get the sinking feeling that I may be in the midst of full blown menopause when it's completed...suffering from severe HOT flashes...and only wanting to sit around naked in front of a fan......So let me give you a little insight into my knitting resume...up until now I have used mostly size 15 needle and larger...knocking out boas left and right
I guess you could have called me a big hooker(now that would be a great blog title) I liked the sense of accomplishment that comes with using a big hook or needle.....moving on and evolving...this Koigu wrap will be my lesson in patience...reveling in the now... ...and not coveting the future

Just finished my test pair of fingerless gloves...in red,green,yellow..a request from my friend Johnessa...I have a few things to work out with them.(yall would think by now I would stop all this free flow stuff and just work off a pattern,lol)..but all in all...I think the next pair will be good...and after that I will bravely go forth with doing them in cashmere, lol

Over the weekend the dvd of the series Good Times arrived in the mail....so after watching the show I'm inspired to create a new sweater for Yohji based on one J.J was wearing(give me a week and it will be finished,lo)..dang inspiration can come from the strangest places,lol..just completed Yohji's tweed sweater..what can I say I like having a stylish pooch,lol.... and it seems to delight others as well..I was walking him one day and we passed a couple of drag queens who commented on how Fabulous he looked!...now does it get any better than that....lol

What a Day,lol....other than going to mom's for some black-eye peas to go...I have spent the day chilling on my sofa watching La Femme Nikita marathon...knitting yohji a new sweater,lol...I finally blocked the baby cardigan..and have a bit finshing before it gets put together....Have u ever noticed that Nikita rocked some fly shyt(very edgy)!!!lol....I think the nikita "look"..will be added to my style arsenal this year!...maybe with this boot here .... I'm feeling so inspired to create some wicked pieces this year...some may need two turntables and a microphone..All I need is some knitting needles and cool yarn( ok maybe a knitting machine too,lol)...Let this be the Year Of the YARN!!!!!....
